- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 lb cooked salmon, flaked
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (optional for spice)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/4 cup furikake (Japanese seasoning mix)
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- Seaweed sheets (nori), for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Drizzle this mixture over the cooked sushi rice and gently stir to combine. Set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flaked salmon, mayonnaise, softened cream cheese, soy sauce, and sriracha (if using). Mix until creamy and evenly blended.
- Spread the sushi rice evenly in a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle a generous layer of furikake seasoning over the rice.
- Spread the creamy salmon mixture evenly on top of the rice layer.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until bubbly and lightly golden on top.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with sliced avocado and chopped green onions.
- Serve hot with nori sheets on the side for scooping, sushi-style.
