Description

Mississippi Pork Chops are a delicious Southern dish combining buttery richness with a tangy kick from pepperoncini peppers. Perfect for busy weeknights or weekend comfort meals, this slow-cooked recipe produces tender, flavorful pork chops with minimal effort.


Ingredients

  • 6 thick-cut bone-in pork chops
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1 packet dried ranch seasoning
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) salted butter
  • 10 pepperoncini peppers

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with a paper towel.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops on both sides in batches, adding more olive oil as needed.
  3. Place seared pork chops in an 8-quart slow cooker.
  4. Sprinkle the au jus gravy mix and ranch seasoning evenly over the pork chops.
  5. Add the stick of salted butter on top of the pork chops, followed by the pepperoncini peppers. Do not stir.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 2 ½ to 3 ½ hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  7. Serve with the flavorful juices from the slow cooker.
