Cooking:
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- 1 tbsp green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Honey Butter Sauce:
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Coating: In a large bowl, mix the flour, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the diced chicken and coat it well with the mixture.
- Cook the Chicken: Heat butter and oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Add the coated chicken in a single layer and fry until golden brown on both sides. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Sauce: Using the same skillet, melt butter over low heat. Add honey, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Stir the mixture until it caramelizes into a smooth sauce.
- Combine and Rest: Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet. Toss to coat the chicken evenly in the honey butter sauce. Let it rest for 5 minutes for the flavors to meld.
