Instructions
- Prepare the Batter:
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- In another bowl, whisk the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing to maintain a light texture. The batter should be slightly lumpy.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Heat the Pan:
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Add a small amount of butter or oil to the pan, ensuring the surface is coated evenly.
- Cook the Pancakes:
- Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto the skillet.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2–3 minutes.
