Scale
- 1 1/2 lbs salmon fillet
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/4 cup salted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Olive oil for brushing
- Optional: Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and let the salmon rest at room temperature for 10-15 minutes.
- Place the salmon fillet skin-side down on a baking sheet. Brush the top with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, lemon juice, butter, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves, stirring to prevent burning.
- Pour the sauce over the salmon and cover it with foil.
- Bake for 10-25 minutes, depending on the thickness of the salmon (approximately 10 minutes per inch).
- For extra caramelization, broil the salmon uncovered for 2-3 minutes at the end.
- Serve hot, garnished with green onions, and drizzle any extra sauce over rice or pasta.
